What is AIC Gives?

AIC Gives is a 24-hour campus-wide fundraising event designed to advance AIC's mission and enhance the unique experiences of every student. This event brings together alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends for a common cause: a better future for American International College.

When is AIC Gives?

Wednesday, April 9, 2025, beginning at 12 a.m. (EST) and concluding at 11:59 p.m. (PST).

Why should I participate?

Your participation—in combination with others' contributions—makes a big impact! Giving is a metric used by many publications in compiling college rankings. It is a marker of alumni pride in their alma mater. Everyone benefits when everyone participates.

How do matching gifts work during AIC Gives?

When a match is available, the sponsoring donor agrees to one of the following setups:

1. Dollar-for-dollar match – Your gift is matched one-to-one up to a certain amount. For example, if you donate $50 during a matching period, the sponsor will contribute an additional $50—doubling your impact instantly!

2. Unlock challenge – A larger gift is "unlocked" once a specific milestone is met. This could be a set number of donors, a total dollar amount, or participation from a particular group—such as alumni from a specific decade, students, or supporters of a designated fund, program, or athletics team. Once the goal is reached, the sponsor’s gift is released.

Both types of matches and challenges are designed to inspire giving and build excitement throughout the day. Whether you give $5 or $500, your participation could help AIC unlock powerful additional support!

Can I set up my own match or challenge?

Yes! Donors, alumni, or businesses can create personalized matches or challenges—whether for a specific fund, department, team, or donor group. If you're interested, reach out to the Office of Institutional Advancement at alumni@aic.edu before AIC Gives begins.

Is it safe to make my gift online?

Absolutely! AIC Gives uses a website platform that is PCI level-one compliant. This is a set of requirements designed to ensure the highest level of security for businesses that process credit card data. American International College will not store, nor be able to access, your credit card information.

Where do gifts go?

You will be able to choose where your gift(s) go! Gifts can be made to student scholarship funds, academic enrichment, student life, athletics, faculty development, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging-based initiatives, and many other areas.

Is there a minimum donation amount?

Yes. Our system accepts gifts of $5.00 or more on AIC Gives.

Can I send a gift by mail or phone?

Yes! Donors can contribute via phone or mail as well as online. All gifts received by April 9, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. will be counted toward the campaign total. To give by phone, call (413) 205-3960. To give by mail, send your gift to:

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes! Your gift is entirely tax deductible. You will receive an immediate email acknowledgment and gift confirmation that will serve as your receipt for tax purposes.

Can I make my gift before April 9?

Absolutely! Early gifts made online, by phone, in person, or through the mail all count toward AIC Gives totals. Whether you give during the early phase or on the big day itself, your support helps unlock matching funds and move us closer to our goals!
